Submit Your Course for Review

Collection Dates for Course Review Forms
Review forms should be submitted by the first Friday of each month. The Online Course Quality Team will usher the course through its review.

Course Review Timeline
Step 1
Complete the Great Online Course Workshop Series or Equivalent*
*Equivalent preparation includes participating in college-level communities of practice or workshops and certificate programs focused on course design and teaching.
Step 2
Design and build a great online course
Align the course with programmatic student outcomes and engages students effectively.
Step 3
Teach the course
Facilitate student learning and interaction for at least one semester prior to submitting your course for review.
Step 4
Complete the Course Reviews for Excellence Workshop
CREW provides insights into the UF Quality Rubric and expectations for the online course review process.
Step 5
Complete and submit a self-review in ProposalSpace
As the instructor, reflect on the course’s strengths and areas for improvement. Include your evaluation in the course review form in ProposalSpace.
Step 6
Reviewers will conduct the review
Reviewers will use the UF Quality Rubric to conduct a thorough analysis and offer feedback for improvement.
Step 7
OCQ team will send feedback to the Instructor team
Feedback will include highlighting areas of excellence and suggestions for enhancement.
Step 8
Feedback cycle will begin
If all Essential Standards are met, continue to step 9. If all Essential Standards are not met, then the Instructor team makes updates, provides additional details and justifications, and then sends responses and revisions to the reviewer team. If none of these occur, then reviewers check revisions.
Step 9
Receive official designation and badge
The Online Course Quality team will send a letter and badge to acknowledge the course’s designation. The designation is good for five years.

Explore Additional Opportunities
There’s more opportunity out there, such as the Exemplary Online Teaching Awards, Research in Teaching and Learning, and Service as a Course Reviewer.
